Custom Sit Stand desk
We had the pleasure of spending time with New York born folk music royalty Dr. Peggy Seeger after her team reached out to find a comfortable ergonomic chair and desk to improve Peggy's set-up while planning her busy 90th Birthday tour schedule. Peggy loves spending time at her desk replying to fans correspondence and planning gigs but wanted more comfort, and was curious to try standing at her computer.
In our showroom, Peggy quickly found an ergonomic chair that worked for her, which we delivered and set-up for Peggy the next day. This was an immediate improvement, however the existing older static desk was too low and uncomfortable, limiting Peggy's ability to work for longer periods.
Peggy had educated herself on sit stand health benefits and wanted us to overcome a couple of challenges: the new desk had to fit a specific space without moving existing furniture or altering the room layout, and accommodate significant cable management needs without looking untidy.
Sensing Peggy isn't the corporate type, we wanted to create something special for Peggy that felt part of her space. Like it had always been there, only now with benefits. We took a vintage 70's desk we had in our warehouse archive collection and adapted it onto the latest electric sit-stand technology, cladding the side to hide everything.
